Nicky Badman

Nicky is the co-owner and director of Go Physio Ltd, and has extensive experience working in a variety of settings and with many different clients.

Nicky initially gained valuable experience within the NHS and then began working in private settings including working alongside GP’s and the Primary Care Trust, the MOD, corporate health, occupational physiotherapy, and with elite athletes in the National Indoor Athletics Centre of Wales.

Nicky assesses and treats all types of injuries and conditions which utilises her broad experiences.  She practices a strong ethos in enabling clients to optimise their individual function and wellbeing through person centered care.

Nicky has a special interest in acute and chronic back and neck conditions, occupational disorders and ergonomics, and also long term degenerative conditions. 

Utilising her vast experience in assessing and treating soft tissue injuries and whiplash disorders, Nicky became a Medico-Legal Expert and MedCo member in 2017 and since then has been assessing and providing medico-legal reports for solicitors and legal agencies on behalf of their clients.

Nicky offers Home Visit appointments for clients within the Vale of Glamorgan area.

Joanne Garvey

Joanne Garvey

Joanne is an Advanced Manual Therapy Physiotherapist with over 20 years spent in the musculoskeletal field.

She trained at UCL and began her working career in the NHS university hospitals around London. She completed an MSc in Neuro-muscular physiotherapy in 2001 and has since worked in the private sector.

She gained experience in ergonomics and has a keen interest in sports injuries, providing physiotherapy services to gymnastics clubs, running clubs and paralympic ski athletes. She also enjoys treating ante/post-natal clients, providing the relevant advice and care needed for this group of patients.

Joanne is experienced in teaching pilates and has achieved Pilates Matwork levels 1,2 and 3 from the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI).  She works with clients on a 1:1 basis and can incorporate Pilates as part of treatment programme for clients, or see them to progress specifically in Pilates.

Joanne is also a practicing Acupuncturist, and is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).  She often uses acupuncture in conjunction with other treatment modalities where appropriate.

Dan Ponteri

Dan P.

Dan graduated with a first class honours degree in Physiotherapy in 2012 from Kings College, London. He has since utilised his skills in a variety of settings enabling his rounded approach to rehab.

Dan has worked in Singapore within a neuro rehab team, and is experienced in treating patients with CVA, traumatic brain/spinal injuries and diseases or infections of the nervous and vestibular system.

Dan headed the A&E physiotherapy triage clinic, assessing/diagnosing patients and facilitating their appropriate care pathway. He has also enjoyed working in an orthopaedic rehab setting providing rehab for post operative joint replacements and

various soft tissue injuries including ACL repairs, meniscectomies, rotator cuff repairs, and post fracture.

In 2017, Dan gained an MSc in Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy (Cardiff University), and now specialises in the treatment of sports injuries and rehabilitation aimed at to return to sport.  He has worked for the previous couple of years as the Physiotherapist for Cardiff Metropolitan University Rugby Football Club.

Dan specializes in treatments of taping, acupuncture and cupping.

Tim Sharp - Go Physio

Tim is an experienced musculoskeletal Chartered Physiotherapist and also describes himself as a movement specialist.

He has worked at numerous sporting events and in many different settings including Wales Touch in European and World Championships, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and the National Indoor Athletics Centre, Cardiff.

Tim is a recognised NSCA strength and conditioning specialist with expertise in the area of Exercise and Functional Rehabilitation. Tim also has a Masters Degree in Sports Physiotherapy and is a senior lecturer in Physiotherapy at both BSc and MSc level.

As well as his expertise in sports physiotherapy, Tim has an interest in developing an understanding of how strength/conditioning, exercise and activity can help facilitate recovery, rehabilitation and living with long term conditions. He takes a great deal of satisfaction from helping someone to get back into sport or exercise or just enjoy the outdoors again.

Joanne qualified in 1984 as a Chartered Physiotherapist from the Combined Training Institute, Watford.

She is a very experienced physiotherapist working in management and clinically for over 25 years in all aspects of physiotherapy mostly within South Wales hospitals and in the private sector.

Joanne regards herself as a generalist with excellent handling skills and techniques in sports/soft tissue massage and manual techniques. In more recent years she has become a specialist in assessment and treatment of frail and elderly patients. Joanne is also an experienced Acupuncturist and often incorporates this into her client’s treatments.

Prayushi Shah - Go Physio

Prayushi Shah

Prayushi graduated in 2021 from the D.Y. Patil University in India.  Prayushi has also just undertaken further study, gaining an MSc in Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2023 from the University of Birmingham.
